Please join the Southwestern Regional Council for an important meeting where experts will explore ULC standards and regulations that impact your business and customers and the regulatory framework for cannabis and what security integrators can expect when providing services in this space.
ULC Information Session:
This important presentation will touch on a number of topics to ensure that attendees are up-to-date on ULC standards and guidelines pertaining to response times, signal response audits and what changes to expect over the next few years.

Theresa (Tess) Espejo, Underwriters Laboratories of Canada Inc.
For 17 years, Theresa (Tess) Espejo enjoyed working with ULC Standards and successfully administered various ULC Standards Technical Committees including Burglar Alarm and Security Systems, Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems, and Cannabis. She has actively participated in the development of three editions of the National Fire Code of Canada as Member of the Standing Committee on Hazardous Materials and Activities. In March this year, Tess published the very first National Standard of Canada on cannabis, CAN/ULC-S4400:2019, which includes minimum requirements for the security of cannabis premises from intrusion, infiltration, as well as video surveillance, secure access and safe egress.
In August 2019, Tess assumed her new role as Program Manager with UL Canada’s Building and Life Safety Technologies.
Jeff Hannah CPP, PSP, Director, Consulting Services - 3|Sixty Secure Corp.
Jeff is a security and risk management professional with more than 15 years of experience. He operated a successful security and risk management consultancy for six years working in numerous sectors including commercial property management, banking, pharmaceutical and critical infrastructure. Jeff joined 3 Sixty Secure Corp. in 2019 in a leadership role in the consulting division of the company. Jeff holds a Law & Security diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College and is one of only a few individuals in Canada to hold both the Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designations from ASIS International.
