You won’t want to miss the keynote on October 18 at Security Canada Central in Toronto. We are excited to announce Brittany McBain, Civilian Member of the RCMP and expert on Critical Infrastructure Security as keynote speaker. The topic of Brittany’s presentation will be “Protecting Canada’s Critical Infrastructure.” Throughout the one hour presentation, Brittany will share her knowledge of domestic threats, natural disasters, and International terrorism as it relates to Canada.

Brittany’s presentation will deal with the history of terrorist activity in Canada and what on-going initiatives are taking place to protect our energy sector, communications and information technology industry, our core financial institutions, food, water, transportation, government, and manufacturing.

The keynote will take place at 9 a.m. on October 18, prior to the opening of day one of the Security Canada Central show.

CM Brittany McBain has been with the RCMP since 2009. She is a Criminal Intelligence Analyst and has worked in the Ontario Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (O-INSET) Criminal Analysis Section (CAS) for more than 5 years. She was recently promoted to supervisor of the GTA CAS unit. Brittany holds the critical infrastructure portfolio for O Division, and is a member of the National Critical Infrastructure Team. She has taught on intelligence analysis, national security, and critical infrastructure matters both domestically and overseas including in Nigeria for the Canadian Police College and in Belize and Mexico for the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute. She is currently completing her MA in Intelligence and Security from the University of Leicester in the UK.
