The 2017–2021 collective agreement negotiations end in a deadlock

The negotiation period has come to an end on October 31st in accordance with Bill 142 adopted on May 31st by the Couillard Government. It proves to be an utter failure and now forces both parties to use the arbitration process, for which provisions under Bill 142 grant Minister Vien the right to intervene; management does not wish for this to take place.

To support the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ), which represents us in these negotiations, CANASA has sent a letter to Dominique Vien, Minister of Labour, asking that she refrain from interfering in the upcoming arbitration process, or attempt to limit its scope.
