Email Fraud Rates Skyrocket
According to a recent study from Valimail – https://www.valimail.com/resources/report/email-fraud-landscape-q2-2018 - fake email continues to be a serious issue with an estimated 6.4 billion fake emails sent each day.
This total of 6.4 million fake emails per day includes only exact-domain spoofing where senders put a fake email address in the “From:” field of their messages. The FBI recently reported that business email compromise costs have risen to over $12 billion over the past few years.
