Waterloo Based Aeryon Acquired by FLIR
FLIR Systems has announced the acquisition of Waterloo-based unmanned aerial systems manufacturer Aeryon – www.aeryon.com.
The transaction valued at US$200 million “reinforces our long-term strategy to move beyond sensors to the development of complete solutions that save lives and livelihoods” said Jim Cannon, president and CEO of FLIR Systems.
Aeryon Labs is now part of the FLIR Government and Defense Business Unit’s Unmanned Systems and Integrated Solutions division.
