Notice to Alarm Companies Operating in Newly Annexed Areas : EPS Alarm System Permit Now Required


On January 1, 2019, two areas of land from Leduc County and the Town of Beaumont were annexed and became part of the City of Edmonton.
 
Residents in the annexed areas will now require an EPS Alarm System Permit to operate their residential and commercial alarm systems.

If your alarm company currently holds contracts within the annexed area near Leduc and Beaumont, please advise your customers of the new requirement.
 
Alarm companies operating within Edmonton are also encouraged to contact the EPS Alarm Control Section at 780-421-3410 or at alarm.program@edmontonpolice.ca and provide a representative name and phone number that the EPS may utilize for communication purposes.
 
The Alarm System Permit application is available at www.edmontonpolice.ca/alarmcontrol and at all EPS divisional stations.
