New area code for New Brunswick
The area code 428 is being introduced in New Brunswick on November 21, 2020. As a result, you will need to use 10 digits (area code and phone number) for all local calls beginning August 13, 2020.
There will be no change to existing number(s), fees and local and long distance calling areas. You will still dial special numbers such as 9-1-1 using three digits.
