Accountable to focus on the day to day management of a high-performing Custom Security Sales team with the focus on recruiting, developing, coaching and target management. Full responsibility for all aspects of the team’s sales activities including driving sales to meet and exceed targets for loading and revenue growth on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Required to coordinate the team’s funnel and sales forecasting activities and work closely with the Regional Sales Director to constantly evolve our value proposition.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own, develop and implement the strategy for retaining and growing TELUS’ Custom security business within the Small – Mid Market business segment
  • Guide, coach and develop a high performing sales team capable of exceeding goals, objectives and financial targets
  • Drive and support the team goals including revenue growth, market share and EBITDA targets
  • Provide accurate, relevant and timely management information on the performance metrics for the business in order to facilitate effective business planning, forecasting and resource allocation
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by leading the sales team to drive real and longstanding business value for our customers
  • Leverage existing relationships to elevate TELUS’ position as a strategic partner in the Security and Automation space, always representing TELUS in a professional manner
  • Drive customer engagement and foster promotion of TELUS’ value-adds including mobility, VOIP, Internet, & TELUS Online Security.
  • Generate referrals with sales representatives by regularly developing and supporting partnerships
  • Leverage strong professional network to create opportunities within the market space and build a profitable book of business
 Qualifications

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Tenured people leader with proven track record of achieving results
  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory/management experience
  • 7-10 years of Sales experience
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to work both strategically & tactically to achieve objectives
  • Proven ability to coach & develop sales representatives to become high performers
  • Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle

Great-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the physical security industry, products and capabilities (e.g. Intrusion, fire panels, ULC, access control, video surveillance)
  • Strong knowledge of G-Suite, Salesforce
  • Adaptable to changing environments
  • Telecommunications industry experience is an asset
  • Active involvement within the community
