Trade Show Committee
The National Trade Show Committee is a vehicle designed to allow members and non-members alike to assist the Canasa National Office by having open forum discussions in which to bring forward new ideas.
Stated Mission
To advise, assist and make recommendations to the National Office on/for all CANASA Trade Shows.

Committee Operation
- The first meeting was held on Wednesday November 19th, 2008
- Further meetings to be scheduled 4 times per year by the Trade Show Manager
- The Committee will have a maximum of 12 voting Committee members
- Regional CANASA staff is encouraged to attend any/all meetings
- All new agenda items must be approved by Committee Chair
- The agenda will be managed and distributed by the Trade Show Manager prior to each meeting
- There will be one person allowed on the Committee from any one CANASA Member firm, Company or exhibitor
- Only voting Committee Members and CANASA staff can attend Committee meetings
- In the event of a tie vote the Chair’s vote will decide
- A majority will be considered the majority of those present at any scheduled meeting
- Any CANASA Staff member can have non-voting standing at any / all meetings
- The Committee may decide by majority to grant leave with reason for a missed meeting for a Committee Member
- There will no “standing in” for a meeting allowed by any outside person for a missing Committee Member
- If 2 consecutive meetings are missed by any voting Committee member, they will be removed from the Committee
- A proxy / proxies will be allowed for any missed meeting between the voting Committee members although this does not change the “2 consecutive missed meeting“ rule
- The Chair will be solely responsible to allow or deny any person to join the Committee at his/her discretion
- The Chair will strive to achieve a balance of Dealers and Vendors (both large and small) and a Nationally balanced geographic representation on the Committee
- The Committee Chair does not have to be a National Board Member but must be a CANASA Member
- The Committee members do not have to be CANASA Member
