Association Partnerships

In order to better serve our members, CANASA has formed partnerships with the following associations:

SIA:
The Security Industry Association (SIA) is an international trade association, formed in 1969, and dedicated to the promotion of professional advancement within the security industry. This advancement is sought via four main core areas: government relations, research and technology, education and training and standards. SIA members can be found in all areas of the industry from manufacture to installation. SIA website

CSAA:
The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) is a trade association, formed in 1950, which represents providers, users, bureaus and other agencies of UL-Listed and/or FM-Approved Central Station protection services. Some of CSAA's major goals include false alarm reduction, the development of industry standards and the promotion of fair competition. CSAA website

 

Education Instituations & Partnerships

CANASA continues to strive to bring our education programs to a wider audience, and as such has formed the following education partnerships:

CAREERS IN TRANSITION:
Careers in Transition is a training school located in the province of Alberta. CANASA has partnered with Careers in Transition in order to offer our Pre Requisite and ATC1 Courses in a classroom format to the security industry within Alberta.

THE CMOOR GROUP:
The CMoor Group provide access for CANASA members to continuing online education via their website SecurityCEU.com These exciting online programs provide quality education in a convenient format and include the renowned CCTV Program created by Charlie Pierce.

 

Pre-Apprentice Training Institute (PATI)

CANASA supports PATI's Security Systems Network Technician  certificate.  This 18 -week program combines theory with a considerable amount of hands–on training.  This program is ideal for students with little or no previous experience in the alarm systems trade with the necessary skills to seek employment in this industry.  PATI website.
