New data shows website attacks on the rise

New research from SiteLock, a leader in website security solutions, shows that no website is too small to hack. Websites are attacked more than 8,000 times per year on average. Some 99% of hacked websites are non-profits, small businesses and blogs.

SiteLock data also revealed that social media presence is a large factor in cyberattacks as well as more popular websites powered by Joomla for example are 3.5 times more likely to be attacked than an average site.
