Announcing CANASA's new Executive Director

On behalf of the CANASA Executive Committee, CANASA National Board of Directors and the CANASA team, it is my pleasure to share that Kim Caron will be joining CANASA as our new Executive Director in January 2025.

A brief overview of Kim

Kim Caron commenced her professional journey in 1988 as a monitoring station operator, where she gained essential experience from the ground up. Her career progressed significantly, leading her to roles such as Central Station Manager, Director of Operations, and Director of Sales.

Throughout her career, Kim has navigated the complexities of the security industry and celebrated numerous achievements that have positively impacted the sector. Her contributions include collaborating with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) on alarm by-laws, securing licensing for technicians, and engaging with various associations across Canada and the United States.

Kim has actively participated on several boards within CANASA, serving at both chapter and regional levels, as well as on a national scale. Her roles have included Director at both local and national levels, Chair of the National Monitoring Committee, and a three-year tenure as National President. Among her notable accomplishments is receiving the R.A. Henderson Award, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the advancement of the industry.

She has also had the honor of participating in industry panels discussing future challenges and opportunities. Additionally, Kim was featured on a SP&T podcast and was inducted into the Hall of Fame by SP&T magazine.

Her commitment to the industry remains strong, as she continues to be an enthusiastic advocate and contributor.
