Your financial contribution pays off!
Since 2022, the Quebec chapter of CANASA has invested over $65,000 to promote the trade and the DEP 5296 (Diploma of Vocational Studies) on social networks.
Thanks to these campaigns, made possible by your contributions, interest in the DEP 5296 continues to grow. More and more Internet users are visiting the registration pages of the four training centers, with a notable increase in registrations in 2024 at all four vocational training centers.
Highlights - 2024 campaign results
Less than half of the budget was allocated to the creation of reels and other visuals, resulting in a high-performance campaign:
- CPC (cost-per-click) deemed very reasonable: (~$0.38) for a campaign of this type in education: below $0.50, we're in a good range.
- Estimated click-through rate (CTR): ≈ 1.47% (17,378 clicks ÷ 1.18 M impressions) → good indicator of a relevant message.
- High overall engagement: 165,000 interactions show that the content did engage the target audience.
- High views: 45,913 views halfway through the video → good sign of attention retention.
This success confirms the importance of continuing our efforts to attract the next generation to the security industry.

In a context of scarce manpower and strong competition between trades, it's crucial to keep promoting the trade in order to increase enrolment in the DEP 5296 course. With a potential 140 graduates per year, every enrolment counts in building the future of our security industry.
New for the 2025 campaign
Reinforce the reputation of CANASA (Canadian Security Association) in Quebec by integrating it as a central and credible player in the promotion of the trade. This component will :
- Position CANASA as a key reference in the Quebec security industry.
- Increase the visibility of its members (companies, employers, professionals).
- Extend the campaign's impact beyond recruitment, by building confidence in the security industry.
