Anixter Acquired by WESCO
Anixter International Inc. - www.anixter.com - has announced an agreement to be acquired by WESCO International Inc. – www.wesco.com - in a deal worth approximately $4.5 billion.
Anixter, a leading global distributor of Network & Security solutions, Electrical & Electronics Solutions and Utility Power Solutions announced the merger agreement under which WESCO will acquire Anixter to “create a premier electrical and data communications distribution and supply chain services company” said John J. Engel, WESCO Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
