RBC –
www.rbc.com/cyber/business - reports that 19% of businesses with 10 to 49 employees have reported being impacted by a cybersecurity incident that has affected operations.
The information was gathered by Statistics Canada highlighting that it is not just the biggest corporations and governments who are getting caught in the hacker’s net.
Along with those businesses with 10 to 49 employees, 28% of those with 50 to 249 employees also reported a cybersecurity incident that has adversely affected their business operations.
“You have to understand that cyber risk is just another risk that your business has to manage now” says Adam Evans, Vice President, Cyber Operations and Chief Information Security Officer at RBC.
It’s crucial for Canadian businesses to protect themselves in today’s digital landscape. And to help small and medium businesses meet those challenges, RBC has created a new site:
www.rbc.com/cyber/business which provides information on how to protect your business.
