An exciting and challenging opportunity exists with the Cyber Security Operations Centre. In this position, you will be responsible for assessing, protecting, detecting, responding to, or deterring sophisticated cyber threats that may have an impact on the Ontario Public Service (OPS) environment.

 Responsibilities

What can I expect to do in this role?

  • Provide critical intelligence advisories on strategic and operational cyber threats.
  • Use expert skills to analyze and contextualize cyber threats techniques, tactics, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular intelligence research activities to identify intelligence and security gaps.
  • Analyze technical information and Indicators of Compromise (IOC) to develop actionable intelligence.
  • Conduct all-source strategic research to identify, track, and predict cyber capabilities, intentions, and activities characterizing new, or emerging threats.
  • Use analytical results of research to develop complex threat models and assess the probability of the potential harm of attacks.
  • Produce detailed intelligence-related reports and presentations.

 Qualifications

How do I qualify?

ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:

  • You have analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex sets of information and data.
  • You have problem-solving skills to conceptualize, interpret, and evaluate security exposures across multiple security domains.
  • You have analytical skills to apply IT security principles, concepts, and policies.
  • You have critical and strategic thinking skills to coordinate, develop, evaluate, and protect security programs.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • You have knowledge of, and experience with, cyber security technologies, processes and practices.
  • You have knowledge of, and experience with, cyber threat intelligence collection and research methodologies.
  • You have knowledge of, and experience with, cyber intelligence analytical methodologies, tools and techniques (Kill Chain, Diamond Model, Indicators & Warnings, Probabilities Analysis, etc.).

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • You have relationship management and collaboration skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have written communication skills to prepare detailed analytical reviews, reports, executive summaries and briefing documents.
  • You have verbal communication skills to provide a variety of presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
  • You have tact and diplomacy skills to tailor presentations based on stakeholders’ level of understanding.

 

 Salary

$1,654.05 - $2,066.34 Per Week
