The Manager, Asset Security, is responsible for overseeing the security and safety of the assets, including team members, tenants, contractors, and guests of the managed properties. The Manager will provide support and technology solutions to ensure protection and integrity of the asset(s) and supporting infrastructure are maintained in accordance with established standards, including but not limited to security equipment, fire and life safety and managing external vendors.
Work with the IT Director and Operations to make recommendations to improve security processes for the upgrade of security equipment and systems, standard operating procedures, and guidelines for the department.

Responsibilities |
- Review all incident reports; correct, check for accuracy, gather documentation including closed circuit television (CCTV) video; forward to correct department, analyze and make recommendations for preventive measures
- Maintain ongoing communication with Property Management team members to ensure that information is shared on a timely and effective basis
- Provide ongoing evaluation of security measures, reporting findings to security management, identifying any vulnerabilities and make recommendations to reduce exposure.
- Develop, recommend, and implement emergency procedures, disaster recovery plans, building access control, security systems and reports
- Recommend revisions to security measures as needs dictate, including operational changes, new technology and equipment, changes in statutory requirements and implementation of approved changes
- Collaborate with Director, IT and Operations division to make recommendations to standard operating procedures and guidelines for the department(s)
- Exercise timely two-way communication with on-site team members, tenants, and other departments.
- Develop a relationship with local authorities (police, fire, ambulance) and property management
- Conduct monthly supervisory meetings with site team members and the Director, IT
- Responsible for continuous upgrading and assuring the integrity of all security related systems, policies, and procedures
- Proactively identify, investigate, and report potential and actual exposure to loss of Company assets
- Develop means to minimize risk, ensure compliance, and provide guidance to managers/team members on detecting and preventing loss
- Work with the Director, IT to create and plan the department’s monthly and annual budget
